Our Home Remodeling Process
Our work process is divided into five stages:
Discovery
Our process starts with an email, phone call or video conference where we can find out more about your project. From there we set up a site visit to take measurements and understand the existing conditions. After that we discuss your design ideas including any inspirational colors, pictures or ideas that you’ve accumulated for the project to get a feel for your vision. At this point we have a rough framework to assess an accurate budget range, understand your budget parameters and can create an estimate. This is the beginning of our exciting journey to your home remodel and increased enjoyment and love for your home.
Design
We guide you through the design process with the help of our team of Architects, Interior designers, Cabinet designers and material experts. The architects and Spacial planners we work with will help create the best design for the space maximizing the utility and flow so that you can have a space that you will love for years to come. The Interior Designers we work with will help clarify aesthetic design, select finishes and fixtures. Our team of vendors can also help you select the right materials for the project.
Once all the product design decisions are complete, the work scope is finalized and all our subcontractors have submitted their bids, we can create the Final Fixed bid. At this point the updated project budget is finalized and a work contract is signed.
Specifically For Kitchen & Bath projects, we will provide you with our Revive Works Remodeling Kitchen & Bath Product and Design Checklist. The checklist helps aggregate and clarify all necessary fixtures, appliances and finishings decisions for kitchen and Bath projects.
Planning
We determine the estimated time of arrival for all building materials, fixtures, appliances, finishes, subcontractor sequencing, inhouse labor allocation, permitting and create a rough project timeline for you.
We discuss and finalize a material and tool staging area, desired worksite access and hours, employee bathroom usage or desired porto potty placement and a waste staging plan (prior to removal).
We create a detailed, estimated timeline for your project and schedule a concrete start date.
We order all materials that need to be ordered prior to start date, book in all Subcontractors, tool rentals and apply for the necessary permits.
Construction Sequence
Set up our vertical dust containment system, floor protection, material and tool staging, porto potty placement
Demolition, Site Prep & Waste Removal
Framing, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (And any other specialty subcontractors involved) work
Rough In Permitting
Drywall & Painting
Cabinet & Countertop installation
Flooring & Trim
Appliance installation
Finish Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing work
Finish permitting
Punchlist (We walk through the project with you to make sure no minor fixes are missed and mark anything that needs to be addressed before final close out assess)
